This educational project consisted of holding five workshops on sustainable food systems, soil recovery, comprehensive waste management, the principles of syntropic agriculture and the conservation of native seeds.
As a result, a space of more than 600 square meters that was used as a dump was recovered and transformed into a community garden in which a diversity of agroecological production techniques are combined. In addition to this, the social fabric of the neighborhood community was strengthened, made up of indigenous and Afro population from all over Colombia, who have suffered the consequences of violence and came to Bogotá in search of new opportunities.
The closing of this cycle took place on January 21, during the day maintenance work was carried out on the garden and a delivery of clothing donated by clients and friends of Sembrando Confianza. Together with La Cucharona Errante, a vegan community lunch was prepared for 150 people, and a circus and juggling show was performed by Clon de Clown, which allowed the children to get out of the routine and enjoy a pleasant afternoon.
